Who is your favorite Super Hero?
Superman, without question, but the comic book universe is full of characters who rise to the occasion.
What are your favorite story ideas to write about?
I like writing science fiction, adventure, horror and fantasy where the stories are about heroes with exceptional abilities doing extraordinary things, like taking out realistic-type destructive-to-human-nature agendas or characters.
Who are your favorite authors?
Robert E. Howard, and his Conan book series is simply the greatest bit of short story writing I ever read.
Tom Clancy, and his Jack Ryan book series, all of which I’ve read, is simply great.
Stan Lee, and his many comic book characters have been a joy for many, many years.
Where did you learn to create art?
I started drawing when I was a child, where I created characters in my own one- or two-page graphic novels.
I seem to gravitate to the character creation, rather than realistic-type of art, where what I created was from my own imagination. My artwork gave me a chance to go places my real life could not, and as a boy with an overactive imagination, it was a great outlet, one that I have clung to my entire life.
I studied art in college, but never really got into their formatted curriculum. I always found it to be too limiting and often veered into places that held little to no interest for me and what I expected to do with my artwork. Everything I learned, came from do-it-yourself trial and error, with error being the optimal choice of word to describe my continual learning process.
